Q&A

Effectiveness of the Strategy

Does the 90% success rate refer to abortion-minded women?

Yes. Our results reflect mostly abortion-minded or abortion-vulnerable women. On our van, nearly every woman we served was abortion-minded—and we consistently saw about 90% choose life.

Is that your local data or a national statistic?

Both. Nationally, 90% of women who walk into an abortion facility will follow through with the abortion. But when women encounter compassionate care before entering, nearly 90% choose life.

Isn’t the national average for ultrasound impact closer to 50–70%?

Yes—if the woman only sees an ultrasound without any support. But our nurses are also trained counselors, which makes a critical difference.

Lessons from the First Van

Top 5 Lessons We Learned:

  1. Sidewalk outreach is essential.

  2. Arrive early for parking.

  3. Use strong visual signage.

  4. Offer incentives.

  5. Adjust tactics based on abortion facility responses.

After just two weeks of trial runs, we optimized our approach and began seeing immediate results—up to seven babies saved per day.

We know this system works. We’ve done it before, and we’re doing it again.

Why We Succeed Where Others Struggle

Most centers with vans don’t see the same success. Why?

  • They park their vans at churches, schools, or community sites—not near abortion facilities.

  • They lack trained sidewalk teams.

  • They don’t operate with a replicable system or consistent strategy.

With Vans for Life, we’ve created a repeatable model:

Same van specs. Same outreach plan. Same training systems. Same fundraising strategy.

Think franchise model—like Chick-fil-A or Starbucks. That’s how we scale fast. That’s how we win.

National Vision & Implementation

How do you plan to scale nationally?

We’ve purchased vans in bulk (8 at a time) to secure discounted pricing. From there, we:

  • Match vans to interested pro-life organizations

  • Help fundraise locally using our proven system

  • Train staff via on-demand video curriculum

  • Establish sidewalk outreach and operating procedures

Before offering a van, we assess each organization’s financial standing and ethical alignment.

🚌 Cost per van: $153,000

(Currently, we offer a $25,000 grant per van to reduce the total cost)

The goal is not just to fund the van, but to help each center build a sustainable operation — including staffing, outreach, and ongoing support.

Final Thoughts

Since Roe v. Wade, the U.S. has averaged 1 million abortions annually. That number hasn’t changed much in 50 years.

Clearly, something in the pro-life movement must change.

We believe proximity-based outreach using mobile pregnancy vans is the most effective, scalable solution available today.

We’ve seen it. We’ve lived it. Now we’re ready to multiply it.
